Amelia MarthaBRIGGSOf Musden Avenue, Helmshore, sadly passed away at her home on Friday, April 26, aged 82. A retired sewing machinist, Amelia worked at P & S Filtration that later became sCAPA Filtration in Helmshore for over 20 years. Amelia loved bingo, shopping and swimming as well as a ‘Good’ Car Boot sale. She also enjoyed travelling with her late husband John taking many a train trip around the UK including a trip to Scotland on the famous ‘Flying Scotsman’ but one of her favourites being that of taking a trip to ‘Lands’ End’. Mum to the late Raymond and Wife to the late John, Amelia leaves her son John and Daughter in law Susan, Grandson Carl, Great grandson Harry, Brother Malcolm, Nephew Peter, Nieces Hazel & Katie, and also her best friend Joyce. Her funeral is due to take place on Monday, May 13, when Mr Damien Philips will conduct a Celebration of Life service and Committal at Accrington Crematorium at 12.20pm.
