Private cremation. Thanksgiving Service at St. Denys Church, Little Compton on Saturday 11th January at 2.00 p.m. Family flowers only, donations for RAF Benevolent Fund c/o A.L. Sole & Son, Bidston Close, Over Norton. OX7 5PP.

I was a builder who converted a barn for bill and I would be asked by him to come down from the scaffold to join him in a glass and help solve the world's problems , a wonderful man and at 84 still full of life . Cathy was a very good companion to bill , well suited I thought . He asked me to stay at his house when he went away and I did on many occasions . He gave me memories of the war I will never forget , he sort no vanity and said I flew out there and came home to bed , the others (soldiers were the heroes) . May God bless him . K D JGreen..
