The Bromley’s became our neighbours some fiftyplus years ago and we remained friends after we left for Northumberland some three years later. Margaret was a kind and loving person always ready with a listening ear and a helping hand, never judgmental. We kep in touch and there was always a warm welcome on our return visits to Leicester to visit mother in law whom Margaret visited in our absence and took to hospital appointments As communication became difficult I have been grateful for Kay’s letters and her facilitating my last virtual goodbye.

Aunty Margaret was a kind and sensitive lady. Very talented in her painting, flower arranging and cake making. My belated husband would say the same, he loved her very much, as I did. She helped me in 1980 and 1982 in my difficult times. Rest in peace and God bless you.

5 Pine Tree Avenue the home of Margaret and Geoff Bromley was the first place that I visited when I was making friends in Humberstone . It was one of Margaret’s fundraising Cheese and wine evenings . The welcome I received was very special ,warm and loving which I have never forgotten . Margaret was a very lovely and generous lady , Her love for St Mary’s people and the Church
Is expressed in the collection of kneeler she instigated which includes a kneeler very dear to her . Margaret stitched a map of the World which holds a special prayer , at that time Micheal was trekking around the world and Margaret added a special stitch to mark the places Micheal had visited as a prayer for his safety but she kept it to herself .
Well done thou good and faithful servant now rest in peace in the Lord
May our memories of you shine in our lives for ever .
🙏🏻For Kay, Linda, Julie and Micheal and your families
