DonaldBROOKEDied 28th May 2014, aged 91 years young. Just to say a huge "Thank You" for all the cards, flowers and personal messages of love and support following the death of my totally loved and adored father - Donald Brooke. Dad put me in a strange place following his request for a Private Funeral. I can however understand why he wanted this as he knew how overwhelmed I was following Mum's funeral. Dad got what he wanted and at nearly 92 years of age - he was more than entitled! I personally want to thank Gateway Funeral Services of Shepley, Huddersfield for their full support, compassion and totally heartfelt professionalism - great job. The biggest "Thank You" of the day goes to Stuart Paterson - the Humanist Officiant who conducted my Dad's service. Not only did I get a word for word copy of the service - I feel the need to say that this is a man with a truly amazing skill. He managed to portray my Dad in true life and in death with the greatest of respect, accuracy and humour. I also would like to thank all the staff at the Medical Assessment Unit and Ward 8, HRI - they do a very special job and they are truly amazing people. Finally, Thank you to my Dad for introducing me into this world - we made each other very very proud. I Love you Dad - Sleep Well.
