JoyceBROWNFred, Victor, Kay and families would like to take this opportunity of thanking you all so very much for attending the funeral and making it such a wonderful send off and tribute to Joyce-We were overwhelmed by the support of so many. Heartfelt thanks to all family, friends and neighbours for the thoughtful messages of sympathy, cards and letters of condolence and very generous donations which totalled over ?3,500 for St. Lawrence's Church, Rushton received following the sad loss of Joyce-A much loved wife, mum, gran and great-gran. We would like to give thanks particularly to all the carers, district nurses, Dr. Greig and all the staff at the Moorland Medical Centre, Leek and the Douglas Macmillan Nurses for all their devoted care and attention shown to Joyce throughout her illness. Our gratitude and thanks also go to everyone involved with the funeral service which included the Rev. Amanda Pike, the Rev. Roy Lovatt, Angela Faulkner-the organist, Mrs Wendy Beale (Church warden) Eric Reid for the tribute on the accordion, Josie and Charlotte. Bellringers at the service, Charlotte who also wrote a wonderful letter for Joyce and finally to Paul, Michael and all the staff and caterers for all their assistance with making all the funeral arrangements. A very memorable day to a very special lady.
