AliceBROWNDavid, Audrey, and Walter announce the death of their much loved mother, Alice Brown (nee Tomlinson). Alice, 94, was born in Baxenden on 22.06.1927 and died in the Royal Blackburn Hospital on Saturday, October 2. In 1948 she married Walter. They first lived in Duckworth Hall for two years before moving into Accrington. Apart from a short time in Cheshire necessitated by Walter’s work, Alice and Walter lived in their Accrington home until Walter’s death in 1997. Alice continued in the home until her death. She was a loving mother, caring Grandmother to Jane, Nathan, Matthew and Catherine, and affectionate Great-Grandmother to Reuben, Theo, Sonny and Hudson. She will be sadly missed but never forgotten. The funeral will be at Accrington Crematorium on Wednesday, October 27, at 11am. Flowers to be sent to Wolstenholmes Funeral Directors, Willows Lane, Accrington.
