Dear Margaret, we still can’t believe that you’re no longer with us but after today must accept it is so. Getting to know you over these past three and a half years has been a delight and enriched our lives no end, Tresillian just isn’t the same without you. Wherever you are now we hope you’re happy and at peace and entertaining everyone as much as you did on this mortal coil. Much love, Claudia and Geoff

Dear Grandma, I will forever cherish the sweet moments we shared. From me helping you cross busy streets, to you taking the anchovies out of my salad that I thought would have had chicken in it… gross. I feel so very blessed to have a Grandma that was as sweet, caring and as sassy as you were. Although you might not physically be with us anymore, your spirit lives on in the lives you touched and the memories we all cherish. I will miss you Grandma, I wish I could have said goodbye.

Margaret you leave behind two significant monuments in the form of your children who walk tall in your image and in turn their children - your grand children and so far two great great grand children.
In a way you did your bit so you move on a proud lady

My grandma will be dearly missed by many. She was a perfect mixture of kind, thoughtful, and feisty. My grandmother cared deeply about the people around her and the happenings in their lives. She has always been a dog person, but secretly I think she has always used “walking the dog” as an excuse to connect with people out and about. She was curious and loving, and to know her was to feel cared for. She was funny, and quick on her feet all the way to the end. My grandma was stern when required, and hilarious when needed. I loved watching sports with her. I’ve watched a number of Andy Murray Wimbledon matches where we took turns yelling at the TV. These are just a few of the many things I could say about my amazing and unique grandmother… but all I really need to say is that: I love you Grandma, and I will miss you so much.

Grandma

Ever since I was young, people said I was like my grandma. Apparently the only person more stubborn than me, was her!
I remember feeling such a sense of pride at that. She would speak her mind and send something called “poison pen letters” to people who over stepped.

I remember one time over at her house she was showing me photos of her when she was younger, my mother briefly mentioned that I looked like her. I’d send a photo of her when she was young to all my friends and go “ do you think I look like her????” So excited when one of them said yes.

She wasn’t all stubborn and poison pen though! I also remember one time when we were in England at Helford and I went up to stay with her for a few nights and she was so excited to feed me strawberries, cream, and meringue. We ate it every night together for the entirety of my stay, watched movies, and shopped!

I miss her so much already, she meant the world to me. She’ll always be in my heart!!

Mum, you are very loved and I will miss you terribly. Even though you might have been a slightly, cranky old bat, that is what endeared you to me over the years. Much love, Jim.
