The most loved and cherished dad and grandad passed away peacefully in hospital on 18-10-2024. He will be forever missed by son Derek and daughter-in-law Linda, grandchildren Stephen, Jayne and Nicole and all of his great-grandchildren.

All are welcome at the West Road Crematorium on Tuesday November 5th at 1:15pm followed by the Heaton Buffs to celebrate his life after. Derek will be sadly missed by all of his family and friends.

I’m so angry at the world for taking you. I know they say he only takes the best but I wish he didn’t take you away from me and I wish a could just pop along and see you and you would be sitting in your chair reading your paper. My heart is broken and aching and life won’t be the same without you here. I love and miss you more than any words can say and will forever. Love you so much.

This is the longest I've gone without hearing your voice and it breaks my heart more every day. I hope you know how loved you are and how much we miss you. I wish you were here, but wherever you are, I hope you're sitting in a nice chair with a cup of tea and a biscuit.
