I was lucky enough to have meet Alan 12 months before he passed away. In the short time I knew him, I soon realised he was probably one of if not the most genuine person I have ever met. A big hearted man who helped me achieve what I set out to do by providing help and guidance throughout.
It has to be said, I was devastated when Tom told me Alan had passed away.
RIP big man. I will never forgot what you did for me.

So sorry to hear that Alan is no longer with us! Having known him for many years and met on many occasions I was always impressed by his politeness to me and others that I observed! He would always stop and speak even when he was on mission! I found him to be generous and appreciative of our encounters ! I'm sure he will be greatly missed by all that knew him!

We were both so very sorry to hear Alan had passed, leaving so many who loved him and all too soon.
We have fond memories of him and all the times he worked to raise money for charity, a man with a big big heart.
He will never be forgotten and our condolences and thoughts are with his family at this very sad time.
