JoyceBURROWJoyce Burrow, nee Cartwright, of Laburnum Drive, Oswaldtwistle, passed away peacefully at Royal Blackburn Hospital on Friday, November 12, aged 89 years. She was the beloved wife of the late Eric, dearly loved mum of John, daughter-in-law Alison, grandson Andrew and close aunt of Edward and Margaret. Formerly of Clayton-le-Moors, Joyce worked in the grocery trade at Woolworths and the Co-op, before finishing her working life as a machinist in the textile industry. Following her retirement Joyce enjoyed travel, sharing numerous holidays with her late husband Eric and their late close friends Margaret and Jim. In her later years Joyce loved watching TV and her hobbies included tapestry, doing jigsaws, and crosswords. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to her renal specialist Dr McDowell and his team, and especially all the staff of Broadfield Care, Oswaldtwistle for their care and companionship over the last few months. Her funeral took place at Accrington Crematorium on Wednesday, November 24. Donations in lieu of flowers to Kidney Research UK.
