From Michael Cottrell. ( SPAIN ). A Tribute to Aunty Hilda .
Aunty Hilda was the most important Influence in my early life when I lived with my grandparents ,Aunty Hilda’s mother and father , from the age of 8 years old until I was 26 years old.
Even though Aunty Hilda had her hands full with her own 5 children Mel-Ingrid-Ann- Zena and Bev she still found the time to care and keep a safe eye on me , and all my cousins made me feel very welcome.
I will always remember Aunty Hilda as my second mother the kindest, generous, loving person in my life and I will always be grateful.
When my own parents couldn’t be bothered Aunty Hilda saved me from feeling totally abandoned.
Aunty Hilda lived 10 minutes up the road from where I lived and she included me in everything.
I am sorry I cannot be with you all to pay my respects and to say goodbye to Aunty Hilda.
Our thoughts and love are with you all on this sad day.
Ann and Michael
