NorahBUTLERof Fern Hill House Care Home, Bacup passed away on August 31, aged 95 years old.
Norah left school to work at Ross Mill Cotton Spinning, as well as various jobs throughout her life, including usherette at Bacup Regal Cinema working her way up to manager.
In her younger day, she enjoyed days at the seaside, baking, crocheting and special times with her family and tending to her indoor plants, flowers and her beloved cat Spikey.
She attended St Mary’s (RC) Church, Bacup.
Wife of the late James Butler, mother of the late George Butler (son) and daughter Theresa. Grandmother to four grandchildren,
three great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, nine great nieces and nephews.
A funeral was held on Thursday, September 12 at Burnley Crematorium at 10.45am, conducted by Father Chris McGrave.
Family flowers only, donations to Alzheimer’s Society.
Norah’s family would also like to thank staff and care-givers and district nurses at Fernhill House Care Home for their support and kindness shown to Norah during her six year stay with progressing dementia and Alzheimer’s disease and the exceptional care given to her E.O.L.
