Frank LeslieBUTTERFIELDPassed away peacefully at Edgbaston Manor (3 weeks and a day) after a life well lived aged 91 years. My Beloved Dad died on Wednesday 21st August 2024. Reunited with his dearly beloved wife June (passed away in February 2019). Married in 1965.
Much loved and caring Dad of daughter Dawn.
Les was a quiet and sweet-natured man. Joined the 6th Birmingham Boys Brigade Company.
Joined the Royal Air Force stationed in Wunstorf, Germany and worked at Burmans And Sons. Loves gardening, cats, dogs, horses and wildlife, driving his second-hand cars, read daily newspapers.
Re-connect with his faith at Holy Cross Church after his wife passed with his daughter. Loves holidays in UK and aboard.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday 26th September 2024 11am at Holy Cross Church, Billesley, B13 0NS. Donations if desired to Battersea Dogs Home after the service.
The service continues at Kings Norton Cemetery, B38 9BQ.
All are welcome afterwards for buffet and refreshments at The Billesley Pub/Hungry Horse, Billesley, B13 0AB.
Deeply Loved and Deeply Missed by family, friends and neighbours, and everyone who has the pleasure of knowing him.
Dad has left a huge gap in our lives. Rest in eternal peace in Heaven.
