MaryBYRNEOn August 26th 2022 Fortified by the Rites of Holy Mother Church peacefully at home in Withington Mary, Aged 76 years. The dearly beloved Wife of the late Andy. Loving Mum of Jane and the late Andrew. RIP. Loving Gran of Andrew, Tom and Sam. A Loved Great Gran of Ben and Lilly. A Dear Sister of Tony and Dolores. Requiem Mass at St Cuthbert's RC Church, Withington on Friday 16th September at 10-00am prior to interment at Southern cemetery. Family flowers only by request donations preferred to The Down's Syndrome Association. All donations and enquiries to P Loftus & Son, 263 Barlow Moor Rd, Chorlton, M21 7GJ or Tel 861-9336.

I remember so well, the day I first met Mary – it was Maundy Thursday and I had gone to St Cuthbert’s with my cousin Mark - my first time attending a church service for around 18 years. Most fortuitously, we sat next to fabulous Mary and Andy. Well, once met never to be forgotten!! Mary immediately wanted to know all about us – she was so wonderfully welcoming and full of personality and I’m so grateful to her. I’ve been going to St Cuthbert’s ever since. We always sat with Mary and Andy and we became firm friends. Mary was always so full of life and fun, so sparky and she had that fabulous cheeky almost irreverent naughtiness; and Andy was just adorable. Mary really inspired me – she was an amazing person - she had so much character, never complained about her health struggles and difficult challenges - she was always so stoic and positive. She was also genuinely interested in many things and so open-minded, which was wonderful. I don’t think I have ever seen Mary looking anything less than fabulous and immaculate – I felt quite a scruff beside her! She was like the Queen – super fabulous and I loved her very much.

Jane – huge condolences to you and your family. She was always so proud of you and you truly did her proud! And she was always talking about fabulous Sam.

I will love and miss you always Mary. Rest in peace with your beloved Andy and Andrew. I know you are looking down at us and smiling that amazing smile.

Dearest Mary my Godmother such a special lady who did so much good. You have always supported and help so many of the family. You knew the right words to encourage and comfort in times of need. You’re the best.!!!!!!
