Canon Father Garry Byrne was the young inspiring priest who prepared and married us on a snowy day in April 1981 at St Thomas More Church in Sheldon.
He was loved by the community and we have lovely memories of him. He sang "I met her in the garden where the praties grow" to the delight of everyone.
He also married my sister and husband's brother so he is in many of our wedding photos.
