Vesla (Marthe)CAIRNSNearly 99 Years!! Passed away at Larkhall Springs Nursing Home on 7th March 2023. Ex Ward Councilor and Ex Deputy Mayor of City of Bath 2004-5. Sadly missed by Son Robert, Sister-in-Law Eileen, Niece Anne, Nephew David in Northern Ireland, Niece Helen in Morecambe. Also, Nieces Fröydis in Italy and Marit in Germany and Nephew Ola in Norway and families. Funeral Service will take place at Haycombe Crematorium on Wednesday 12th April at 1.45pm. Family flowers only please but donations, if desired, are being received by Clarkson's Independent Funeral Directors, 7 Windsor Place, Upper Bristol Road Bath BA1 3DF Tel: 01225 426822

Vesla has been in my thoughts a lot lately. I knew her best as Nanny Vesla. She took me under her wing after I lost my own grandmother and referred to herself as my adopted Nan. This was when she worked as a cook at the Western All Saints Junior School/WASPS.
My biggest regret is that as my life moved me further away I did not stay in touch with her better and we eventually lost touch after I relocated to the USA.
My thoughts will always be fond and loving of her.
My deepest sympathies to her son Robert. Your mum was a very special lady.
