Raymond WilliamCALLISIt is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Raymond William Callis, aged 92, on 17th October 2026, with his beloved wife Joyce by his side.

A truly devoted and loving husband to Joyce, his childhood sweetheart, lifelong love and dancing partner, with whom he shared a remarkable lifetime of love, happiness and treasured memories.

An immensely proud and devoted father to his beloved son Paul, a cherished father-in-law to Esther, and an adoring grandfather to Henry and Emerson, his two precious grandsons who brought him immeasurable joy.

A much-loved brother-in-law to Keith, Kathleen and Annette, and to the dear late Trevor, Michael, Gerald and Sandra.

Together with Joyce, Raymond devoted most of his life to the Callis Waudby School of Dancing, inspiring generations of dancers and leaving an extraordinary legacy as an icon of the dancing world.

A true gentleman whose life was devoted to love, family and dance, and whose kindness and warmth touched the hearts of so many.

Raymond will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Funeral arrangements to follow in due course.
