My name is Simon Davey. I have just learned of Roy's passing. In the 70-80s Roy provided sponsorship for my motor racing, and this was a tremendusly important support to me. He also supported the formation of what was the first Championship for older Formula Ford racing cars, setting a trend that many were to follow. This was a crucially important action which helped to make motor racing more accessible to "the man in the street". I am extremely grateful for Roy's support for both me and for the sport, and send my condolences at this loss to his wife and family.
