We were very sorry to hear about Bernard’s passing. He was a sailor and a gentleman and an inspirational figure for many at the sailing club. We have fond memories of the races he led, the “chop, chop Arie” when getting the boat ready, and the chats on the balcony afterwards. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and the club. R.I.P Bernard.
