Dear John

It is very hard to believe that I am writing these words. Losing you from this earth has had a profound impact on everyone who's life you have touched (there were very many). We were so lucky to know you, and for those of us on your team, work with you. You brought such a fun, warm and energetic spirit - you genuinely cared for every single individual you met. I will miss our random chats (especially the one's we had put in the diary for this year) and spending time with you in the cool places we have gotten to visit with our team. You were a gift - someone who was sent to us to teach us how to savour every moment in life, grab life by the horns, travel the earth, enjoy a good concert (or several), sample a cocktail or two, reach out to others to see how they are doing, demonstrate humility and grace. To your family, Diana and loved ones - sincere condolences on the loss of your Son, Dad, Brother, Partner, Friend. It was a true pleasure getting to know and call John a friend. Rest in eternal peace my friend until we meet again. Elaine

Dear John's family
My name is Enrique Casalins, team mate of John at Insights. I write you from Spain, where I am based.
Let me express my most sincerest condolences. I am still shocked by John lost
John has (I prefer to express it in present form, I still hear his voice and reading some of his emails) a character and behaviour style that we may define as "southern european", so extroverted and expressive...that's was quite well know in our team, and that makes me to be so close to you now, even tough we don't meet in person.
I write these words at the same time I am listening John's son speech, and the laughts in the church...it seems John had a very interesting and diverse life...
Hope you are experiencing a, let's say, nice mourning, if you permit me this word, in the sense that John's memory worth to be honored quite a lot.
We have a say in Spanish that, translated into English, means something like "Always the best ones leave us the first"...I think we can applied that to John.

Love
Enrique
