A beloved mother and grandmother
Passed away on May 23rd 2025 in the Bellavista Care Home, Barry.
Born on March 31st 1926
Kathleen married her husband Eric in 1946 after meeting him
at the school where her father was the head teacher.
They were happily married for 68 years until his death in 2014.
She leaves behind two children Simon (59) and Isobel (58)
and three grandchildren Christopher and Rebecca (26) and Freddie (11).
Born in Derbyshire in 1926, Kathleen came from a large family
with one brother and three sisters.
She moved to Lincolnshire as a child and finally to
Yorkshire following her marriage to Eric.
Initially she worked in a bank but once the children came
along Kathleen’s life was dedicated to her family ensuring a happy home life
at their house in Penistone.
She was a caring mother and instilled the importance of education
and traditional values into her children.
She was very proud of the achievements of both her children
as they embarked upon their successful careers at home and abroad.

Cardiff and Glamorgan Memorial Park and Crematorium, Barry.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the RNLI, an organization that Kathleen held close to her heart.
