DanavallyCASHMANDied peacefully on 14th September 2023 at Calderdale Royal Hospital after a period of failing health, Dana aged 75 years of Newsome.
Much loved Wife of John and Mum of Samantha. Dana was a beloved sister, aunt, cousin, and great-aunt and the glue that bonded our families across the UK, Malaysia, Australia, USA and Canada. A good friend to all who knew her, and sadly missed.
Dana left her home country, Malaysia, to train as a nurse in England in the early 1970s. After successfully qualifying in Farnham she moved to Huddersfield to further her career, eventually becoming a Ward Sister at Storthes Hall Hospital. Dana worked in the nursing profession until her retirement in 2011.
No funeral service, a direct cremation took place on Monday 25th September and Dana's ashes will be taken home to be with her family in Malaysia, especially her daughter Sumathi who passed away in infancy in 1986.
