So sorry to hear the sad news. We became friends at Penshurst Primary School and had great times on family holidays in Somerset and Scotland. He introduced me to the game of squash for which I will always be grateful.Dave was a great guy RIP

I spent many happy, wet, windy days with Dave at the Hole of Horcum and Cayton Bay in our hang gliding days. A good friend and a thoroughly nice bloke. So sad to hear this news.

In the early 1980s Dave was the unofficial leader of the Hull group of hang glider pilots. Always keen, always cheerful. I was lucky to have been taken under his wing. Very sad to hear this news. RIP.

Dave was a stalwart of the Sir George Cayley Sailwaings Club. Always there to support and encourage. Dave once took me to one side and gave me some advice. I still live with this. Thanks Dave.

A dear son in law to Joyce, brother in law to Anne and Nick, Susan and Steve and Helen and Richard. Fun uncle to Tom and Phil and Sarah and James. Our love, special thoughts and prayers to Carol, Robert and Carol. Our memories will last forever
