Francis JosephCAVE"Joe" of Woodville Passed away peacefully Queens Hospital on Sunday 18th April 2021 surrounded by his family aged 102 years. Loving husband of the late Gladys, much loved dad of Pauline and Trish, father-in-law to John, grandad to Carl, Dani, Nigel, Amanda and Adam. Great grandad to Alfie, Pixie and the great grandchild yet to be born. Due to current restrictions a family service will be held at Bretby Crematorium on Thursday 6th May. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory of Joe are for the Royal British Legion and may be placed in the collection box after the service or can be sent directly to the charity by following the link below https://franciscave.muchloved.com. Such an amazing loving gentleman. My little girl grew very fond of him when she saw him
At the memorials and when I played the last post for the legion. He will sadly be missed by all who's lives he touched xx

We will miss Joe's smiling face at our events on Remembrance Sunday where he was such a familiar face to everyone who attended.

SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT THE PASSING OF JOE. ANOTHER ONE OF HIS GENERATION HAS UNFORTUNATELY LEFT US.
HE WAS AN OLD PAL OF MY FATHERS, HOWARD REDFERN (WADDY) THEY WORKED TOGETHER AT EATOUGHS AND SERVED TOGETHER IN NORTH AFRICA WW2.
