EllenCHADWICKMrs Ellen Chadwick, previously Hebson, of Oswaldtwistle, passed away suddenly on Friday, October 15, aged 99. She was the much loved and loving mum of Andrea, Barbara, and Geoffrey, mother-in-law to Tony, Terry, and Deborah, grandma to Peter, Kay, Nicola, and the late Karl and Stuart, great-grandma to Finley, Olivia, and Isabella, and aunty to Diane and Julie. Ellen started work at the age of 14, and had many varied jobs. With her husband Norman she ran a sweet shop on Union Road, Oswaldtwistle, and later the Abbey Hotel, Accrington. After the death of Norman, she married George Chadwick, and lived in Blackburn for a number of years. She moved back to Oswaldtwistle and lived in Springfield Mews for many years. Ellen enjoyed ballroom dancing, reading, and doing puzzles. The funeral will be held on Monday, November 1, at 11am at Accrington Crematorium Chapel, led by Philip Norris.
