WilliamCHALLINORMr William Challinor, of Todmorden Road, Bacup passed away at Fairfield General Hospital in Bury on Wednesday, June 3, aged 83. William was an electrical design engineer at Drake and Scull International until his retirement in 2004. He enjoyed photography, cycling, rugby, golf, walking and clay pigeon shooting. William was the Conservative councillor for Greensclough ward for 12 years from May 1999 to May 2011, and deputy leader of the council from 2004 to 2011. He was made an honorary Alderman in 2013. He leaves devoted wife Lynn and loving family and friends. The funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 17 at 3.15pm at Burnley Crematorium.
