Peacefully at Glan Clwyd Hospital, of Tyn y Caeau, Llandyrnog, and formerly of Islay and Anglesey, aged 75 years.

Beloved husband of Yvonne; loving dad to Sian and Ieuan, and stepdad to Kathryn and Michael; grandfather to Llion, Anya, James, Nicholas, Christopher, Adam and Ben.

Private service in accordance with Edwin's wishes.

You were the closest thing I had to a brother, my best friend for almost 70 years, from our boyhood in Rossett. I was sorry that we were unable to see so much of one another in later years but we always remained friends, never argued and tried to put the world to right which someone desperately needs to do. I shall miss our chats but you are always in my thoughts. RIP old friend.
