Dear Pippa and Emma, so sorry to hear of Denys's passing. Am glad David and Linda could make it to the service and they will tell us all about it when we see them soon. Take care of yourselves over Christmas and we shall all raise a glass to those sadly missed. Lots of love, Sally and Martin (Anne Payne's daughter) xxx

With love and many happy memories of ‘Uncle Den’ and our two families drawn together by a lifetime of friendship. Also for a brilliant cause supported by both families, the RNLI.

I only knew Denys for a short time, we shared a love of cinema and he told me spellbinding stories about his time as an exhibitor. I was with him at the Hauser & Wirth gallery a few days before his unexpected death, he really enjoyed the paintings and spent time choosing a new poetry book, I will miss him.
