JoanCHANCHAN - JOAN (nee Slater), February 4, 2021. It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Joan of Abergele (formerly of Jade Garden Restaurant, Llandudno Junction) who died peacefully at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd. Loving wife of Ling, dearly loved mum of Stephen, Marie, Michelle and Nicola, treasured nanna and great-nanna, dear sister, mother-in-law, step mother and cherished auntie. Joan will be sadly missed by all those that knew her. Our sincere thanks to the Dementia Team Heather and Shirley, Tina (Crossroads), Ward 9 at YGC, all her carers at Premier Care and Abergele District Nurses who cared for Joan and supported Ling and the family. Due to current restrictions a private family service by invitation only will be held at St Asaph Crematorium on Monday February 15th at 2.00pm.Family flowers only please but donations if desired would be gratefully received towards the Dementia UK in memory of Joan c/o R.W.Roberts and Son, Plas Tirion, Kinmel Avenue, Abergele LL22 7LW. Sorry for the loss to the loving family. Aunty Joan looked after me during my teenage years, always there to guide me! I have great memories spending time with yourselves. Rest in peace, you’ll be missed, all our love Ken, Vicky and family.
