Whitley BayCHARBONNEAUCHARBONNEAU (Whitley Bay). Josee Charbonneau, beloved mother of Dominic, Raphaelle and Christophe and wife and partner of Mark Freeston has died. Josee, aged 47, fell ill shortly before Christmas and passed away peacefully on the 28th December. Josee and Mark met in New Zealand, lived in Quebec for 16 years and for the last seven years have considered Whitley Bay their home. Josee is missed in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec by her mother Claire, sisters Danielle and Sylvie, brothers Yves and Benoit and their spouses and children and by her aunts, uncles and cousins. She is equally missed in New Zealand by her parents-in law Derek and Yvonne and her sisters-in-law Marion and Janet and their husbands and children. Josee will also be missed by friends and colleagues from around the world. Our heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Emergency Care Unit at North Tyneside General Hospital and the Regional Neurosciences Centre at Newcastle General Hospital. The immediate family will hold a private funeral on Friday 4th and there will be a Memorial Service at a later date to celebrate Josee's life.
