EdwardCHATBURNOf Booth Road Stacksteads, died on June 23, aged 88 at Clitheroe Community Hospital after a short illness. Edward who lived in the Bacup area his whole life was a time served baker, print worker and latterly warehouseman at Courtesy Shoe in Bacup until his retirement in 2001. Edward was a keen amateur astronomer and enjoyed gazing at the night sky, and was a rambler in his younger years, being a member of the Rossendale Rambler Association in the 1970’s He was devoted husband to his late wife Marie, and leaves son David, as well as several beloved in-laws and nephews and nieces. A true gentleman who will be sadly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His funeral will take place at Burnley Crematorium on Thursday, July 18 at 3pm. Family flowers only please.
