I went to Hulme GS, Oldham with Ian and became a close friend. We studied the same science subjects and traveled to school together. I remember visiting Ian's house in Heywood. Ian was kind, intelligent, easy going, friendly, and had a good sense of humour. I think of Ian often with fondness. David Bell
