AnthonyCHESNEYTony After a bravely fought long illness, he passed away peacefully on August 31st aged 82 years. A dearly beloved brother to Syd, Christine, Peter and their spouses. Tony will be sadly missed by his many nephews, nieces and friends. Especially his long loving and dearest friend Joan. A retired Headmaster and School Governor at schools and colleges in Tameside, a life long City Blue and Labour Party member. The funeral will take place on Wednesday 18th September at the Holy Family Church, Denton at 9.30am, prior to committal at Dukinfield Crematorium. No flowers please, donations are welcome to Cafod at the Requiem Mass. Tony will make his final journey home for an overnight vigil on Tuesday evening.
