Patricia MiriamCHIPPENDALE(known as Trish or Trisha) of Mallard Place, Oswaldtwistle, Accrington passed away on January 14, aged 69 years. Trisha started her working career as a time served hairdresser, going on to own her own business by the age of 21. Over the next few years she made this a success. She then got married and had her two children. This became her lifelong devotion. As the years went by she worked as a stewardess, firstly at St Pauls WMC and later at Baxenden Golf Club where, amongst other duties, she catered for all the events and functions. After she retired from this she joined Age UK in Oswaldtwistle where she volunteered a few days a week in the shop, sorting and selling the treasure trove of items right up until the end of her days. In her spare time she loved gardening, this included growing her own fruit and vegetables for a number of years. She also loved designing and making clothes for herself, friends and family and spent many an evening sat at her sewing or knitting machine. She also loved crafting, from completing jigsaws to colouring in intricate books, which she used to cover ornaments some of the time when she couldn’t lavish them in glitter! She was amazing and could turn her hand to anything. Trisha was also a member of the darts and dominoes team at the Hare and Hounds, Oswaldtwistle, which she loved for many years. She also liked to go and play bingo with her friends. Mother to Sean and Kerri, sister to Christine and Janette and the late Leslie. Grandmother to Jake, Maddox, Kian, Teya and Nyota, auntie to George and Elliot. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, February 1 at 3pm starting at Hyndburn Funeral Services, Queens Road Accrington BB5 6DR, then up to Accrington Cemetery Office, Burnley Road, Accrington BB5 6HA. Afterwards if people would like to it will be onto Hare and Hounds 331 Blackburn Rd, Oswaldtwistle, Accrington BB5 4NQ. Family flowers only and if people would like they can donate to either MNDassociation.org or www.waltoncentercharity.org as these two would have been Tricia’s chosen Charities. Funeral directors: Hyndburn Funeral Services, Queens Road, Accrington.
