CHRISTOPHER HARPERSeventeen-year-old Christopher Harper, of Scunthorpe, died after his scooter hit a signpost on Ashby Road on 27 July, 2008.Emergency services were called to Ashby Road after the accident in the mid-afternoon and Mr Harper was taken to Scunthorpe General Hospital but passed away later.A collection of floral tributes were been tied to the sign and in the centre of the dual carriageway on Ashby Road near where Mr Harper died.Among the tributes left at the scene was one which read: "Christopher, always there in our hearts, Mum, Dad, Jamie and Aran. Love you always."Brogan Davies, 16, of King Edward Street, Scunthorpe, visited the scene to place flowers for her friend from their time at High Ridge School together. She said: "I was shocked when one of my friends told me about the accident. I've known Chris for three to four years. I remember having a laugh walking home with him from school. He was always smiling. Everyone will miss him."

Well where to start, you was such an amazing lad mate, miss you loads. Wish that i got to say a proper goodbye to you the night before. The last thing you said to me was see you 2moz and i never got too :(.

Don't Think of him as gone away
His journeys just begun
Life holds so many facets
This earth is only one

Just think of him as resting
From the sorrow and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days or years

Think how he must be wishing
That we could know today
How nothing but our sadness
Can really pass away

And think of him as living
in the hearts of those he touched
For nothing loved is ever lost
and he was loved so very much.

Miss you mucka, always in my heart. It will be your 18th in a couple of weeks, wish you was here to celebrate it but we all know you are still here even if we can't see you.

Love you x x x

Rest in Peace Chris Mate!

All the good times I have spent with you and I will never forget them. You, Ash and I have had so many laughs over the few years that I have known you but they are all worth remembering. At the promotion party we had at Ash's house and got hammered and played hide and seek at 11o'clock at night, and all the games you ran the line for the mighty Ashby Knights and also after football training when we went to Burger King and we heard a massive bang in the kitchen and you said "That's her in the deep fat fryer" and we all just laughed at that for ages. When I stayed at Ash's and me and you biked all over Ashby to find a take away that was open and we saw Becky and she told us that amazing story of hers and you, me and ash always used to say that one phrase "smack you in the face for half a gurner."

I cannot believe that you're gone you’re a great lad and lived such a short life! Missed greatly by everyone that knew you.

Love Jondom xx
