ThomasCHRISTOPHERBourne Passed away peacefully at home on 07/10/12 at the age of 91. Sadly he had already lost both his Wife Mary and Daughter Lesley. Chris had been in the royal air force during the war, working on early forms of radar. He was attached to field Marshall Montgomery's eighth army and fought with the Desert Rats. After the war he worked with the Greater London Authority as a senior human resources officer in the Architects department. Chris was also made a freeman of the city of London. But his love in life was golf. Both Chris and his wife Mary became club captain and ladies captain respectively at Surbiton golf club in Surrey. To the end, Chris never lost his mischievous grin and wicked sense of humour. He is survived by other members of the family, and will be sadly missed.
