Rita or Mrs Clapshaw was my music teacher at Uffculme in the 60’s, we did the ‘ Mikado’ on stage and she sang the lead. I loved her lessons, such a lovely lady.

Rita was my music teacher at Uffculme School in the early 1960’s where amongst other things she cast me as Little Buttercup in HMS Pinafore starting my enjoyment of G&S musicals. She was a great teacher a huge inspiration and a warm human being. I have very fond memories of her and send my condolences to her family. Sadly I will not be able to attend her service as it will be my 50th wedding anniversary. Janice Bawler(nee Fuller)
