Oh Susie, my beautiful Sooz-Flooz ❤️

I only recently read the heartbreaking news that you’re gone, and I’m still struggling to believe it. I’ve been thinking so much about our wonderful times together in Portugal in the mid-80s, sharing our little apartment in Faro and working together at the Four Seasons Country Club in Quinta do Lago.

You were such a special person – warm-hearted, kind, full of life and laughter, with an unforgettable sense of humour. I’ll never forget those crazy drives around the Algarve in your little Mini, brought over from England with the steering wheel on the “wrong” side! Oh such happy, carefree days, and memories that will stay with me forever!

I was so glad when we found each other again on Facebook in 2008. We always talked about meeting up again, and it breaks my heart that we never made it happen. Life got in the way, but I never forgot you. And whenever I saw your posts, there you were – still that lovely, funny, positive Sooz-Flooz I remembered from Portugal. I had no idea that things had become so difficult for you, and it breaks my heart that your journey has ended far too soon.

Thank you for the laughter, the adventures and the memories. I feel so lucky that our paths crossed all those years ago.

Rest peacefully, my lovely Susie. May your beautiful soul shine on, wherever your are.

My beautiful sister ❤️
I hurt. I feel empty. I miss you more than words could ever explain. It still feels so surreal that I have to carry on with life without you. You were always there — a constant in my life, my sister, my friend, and someone I could always count on.
Life had become a little chaotic for you lately, but despite everything, you still smiled, you still laughed, and you still had that beautiful spirit that was so completely you.
You were a wonderful auntie, an amazing Mum, and the most incredible Granny. Your babies were your world, and I promise you, I will do everything I can to make sure they never forget you. I will be there for Molly and Joe, love them, support them and remind them every day of just how much their beautiful Mum loved them.
I wish I could have more time with you. More laughs, more conversations, more memories. I just wish you were still here.
I don’t know how life is supposed to look without you in it, but I know that I will carry you with me every single day. You will always be a part of me, and your memory will live on through the people who loved you most.
I miss you forever, my beautiful, crazy sister. ❤️
