John CharlesCLEGGIt is with deep sadness the family announce that John Clegg died on 5th January, a month short of his 97th birthday.
Devoted Husband of Anne and much loved father of William, Jonathan and Victoria grandfather to 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, he will be much missed.
Born in Manchester, John joined the army from 1947-1949, before going to work in the family business of Herbert Clegg and Co and it was there he met Anne, his future wife, whom he married in 1953. Moving to Formby in 1960, John worked at Littlewoods Pools and later moved to Shirdley Hill after his retirement.
A service to celebrate John's life will be held at West Lancashire Crematorium at 12 noon on 30th January 2026.
