JohnCLITHEROEof Great Shelford, Foxton, and the Cambridge Rambling Club Passed away peacefully in Scotland on Saturday 25th March 2023, aged 88 years. Beloved dad to Andrew and late daughter Julie, and grandad to Tony and Damion. The funeral service will take place at Cam Valley Crematorium, Great Chesterford at 11am on Monday 17th April. Family flowers only, please. I had the wonderful pleasure of meeting and befriending John when he moved to be near his son Andrew and Gillian in Scotland. In the short time we knew each other we had happy chats and managed some meandering walks in the countryside. I shall always remember his gentle ways and lovely smile. Farewell John.

We only knew John in his later years. He met my mum Ann & they had many happy years togethers following shared interests of Rambling, watching Opera & foreign holidays. He was a grandad to my children Jessie & Daniel doing everyday things like going to the park, pool, Shepreth & sleepovers.
A kind hearted Gentleman who loved animals, taking on a couple of our cats!
Rest In Peace John we will miss you xxx
