Very happy memories of Margaret, she had such a sunny disposition and always made myself and my sister Sally feel welcome. It’s lovely to remember that Margaret and Michael were fond friends of our Mum and Dad (John and Jean Phillips) and we came across a photograph of Margaret with our Dad at Beechleigh which we wanted to share.
One personal memory we have is the speed at which Margaret could knock up pasties from scratch for an impromptu lunch, including having to make a trip to the butcher in Probus for skirt!!
Margaret was truly a beautiful soul.

Margaret was a truly kind-hearted woman and will be dearly missed.
Growing up, we visited her and Uncle Michael several times and I have many happy memories of sailing our model boats in their garden.
In more recent years, I was deployed on Military Exercises near St Mawgan (somewhat unusual for a sailor!) and managed to visit her afterwards to say hello. Thus I arrived on her doorstep; unshowered, exhausted and in desperate need of a wash. Needless to say, she immediately offered me the use of a hot shower! I have never been so grateful!
Cornwall will be forever linked, in my mind, to Aunty Margaret and Uncle Michael and I will treasure my memories of them both.
