MaggyCOLLINGWOODWe are sad to announce the death of Maggy Collingwood of Barton upon Humber, on 21st December 2022, after a short illness. Maggy was a loving wife, mother, sister and auntie, and a grandmother of 6. She was an inspirational teacher at Baysgarth School in Barton for almost 40 years. She is survived by her husband Lawrie and 3 children, who will dearly miss her wit, her commitment to her family and her lifelong love of learning - and who will always feed the birds, the hedgehogs and the cat in her absence.

So sorry to hear this sad news. Maggy was an inspiration to me throughout my school life. We became friends and I would babysit Phil and Kitty whilst Maggy and Lawrie grabbed a well earned pint. Thinking of you and sending you all my love xxx
