PeterCOLLINSPassed away peacefully after a brave fight on 3rd February 2021, aged 74 years. Loving husband to Sheila. Doting dad to Tracey, Robert, Mandy and the late Peter. A much loved grandad, great grandad and great, great grandad. A friend to many more, he will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Funeral will take place on Monday 1st March 2021 at 2.00pm at Chanterlands Crematorium. Due to restrictions the service is invite only. No flowers please, however donations would be gratefully received for the Macmillan Nurses at Castle Hill Hospital. Dad I will always remember when you came home from work and put me, Tracey, Peter and later Mandy on your back and played Buckeroo, we cried with laughter. It was years later that I realized how much you actually worked and you were so tired after a 12 hr shift, you always put family first and raised us as no other could. You were so big and strong I always wanted to be like you, my dad the titan, you made me proud to be your son. You supported and encouraged me in everything I did and for that I am truly grateful.
I regret not being able to say goodbye. There were many things I still needed to say, that I loved and respected you and how proud I am to be your son having the best Dad ever. The only thing you didn't teach me was how to deal with losing my idol.
Love and miss you so much dad.
Rest in peace now you've had an amazing life and left us the better for knowing you

Just heard the sad news today. So sorry for your loss, Sheila and family. Peter was a man I remember who was always smiling and making everyone laugh. He will be missed by all who knew him.
