Ian (Taff, Ieuan, Compo)COMPTONIan Compton, affectionately known as Taff, Ieuan/Compo, passed away peacefully on 24 February 2024 after a short stay at Leckhampton Court Hospice, aged 64 years old. He was surrounded by his wife Sally, son Mark, daughter in law, Becky and granddaughter Bella.
Ian was a sporting enthusiast who loved playing and watching sport with many of his family and friends. He was a devoted follower of Newport County and Gloucester City (including a five year tenure as Chairman of the Supporters' Trust), member of Glamorgan CCC, player at Gloucester Civil Service CC, regular attendee at local racecourses and owner of horses at local yards.
A much-loved father, grandpa, husband and friend to many.
Funeral Service to be held at Gloucester Crematorium on Friday 22 March 2024 at 1:30pm. Club colours are welcome but please limit this to scarves and ties.
