Ian BellCONNELOn 12th April 2022, peacefully in the Alexandra Unit at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary, after a short illness, Ian Bell Connel, Heughs of Laggan, Sandyhills, Dalbeattie. Beloved husband of the late Rita, dearly loved dad of Leslie, Senga and the late Colin and a treasured papa and great papa. Funeral service will be held in Southwick Parish Church on Friday 22nd April at 12 noon followed by interment in Southwick Cemetery. All friends are respectfully invited to attend. Family flowers only please. If so desired, donations to the Alexandra Unit may be given at the service. Sincere thanks to all the staff in the Alexandra Unit for the wonderful care and treatment given to Ian.

My best mate in Yanbu for over 40 years kept in touch with him until the day he died. Understood his was a private funeral or we would definitely have been there to say goodbye.
