I happen very late to know of Dorothy's departure. Dorothy was definitely like a second mother to me at the time, in my teen, when I spent summer holidays at Manor House Farm. Douglas also although in my early years of English learning I could hardly catch a word of what he kindly said to me. Dorothy was so caring and gentle that her memory remains fresh as if we just left yesterday on my return to France... RIP

Dorothy was my second Mum and has been there all of my life. She made me so welcome at Manor Farm and I have such happy memories of times there and away with the family. She has been and always will be a big part of my life. Thank you for all the love, Dorothy. I will miss you.
