PatrickCONNOLLYIt is with great sadness that the family of Mr Patrick Connolly, AKA Grumpy, of Clayton-le-Moors, announce his sudden passing on Tuesday, May 17, aged 81. He leaves behind his beloved wife Therese, children Mary, Trisha, Mark, and Gillian, 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, his sister Mary, daughter-in-law Yvonne, and son-in-law Ian. Patsy found his true vocation when he went into the hospitality trade; alongside his wife Therese they made a formidable team. They ended their working lives at Rishton Con Club after 17 happy years there. He was well liked and respected by all who knew him, and a great friend who would go out of his way to help. Our family are devastated by the loss of our head honcho, and will be forever grateful that we had him for so long. Requiem Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 1 at 9.45am, with Celebrant Fr. Ian Farrell, at St Mary’s Church, Clayton-le-Moors, and Accrington Crematorium at 11am.
