You meant the world to me

You were always so kind, thoughtful and caring,
And a truly special gentleman, grandad and friend,
You were always there for me and I was there for you,

One year ago today, we all gathered together to say our final goodbyes to the most incredible husband, dad, grandad, brother and friend, William 'Billy' Connolly. Words can't express how much we've missed seeing your huge smile, which never failed to light up the room. Everyone will always remember that you were a true, kind gentleman who had the time for everybody and your cheeky humour kept us all laughing too.

The past year without you hasn't been easy for any of us, but we've pressed on no matter what, because we know that you've always been watching and looking after us, encouraging us to keep going. The enormous amount of love, admiration and respect for you will never go away, but we know that we'll definitely see you again, someday.
