The obituary notice of Michael CONROY

Tis a sad Chapter the passing of Comrade Conroy, during all the battles our Mother Nation had to endure he kept our spirits high in the trenches

Many will remember him as Eurovision Song Contest WINNER with his song 'Congratulations', his blistering stand up Comedy routine, setting standards for future generations.

As a MOD I will remember him for his Sartorial Elegance, dressed in green for St Patricks Day and red for May Day, brown when he had shit night.

The attached picture from 1992 is perhaps his finest hour which unusual for Mick he did not talk about too much.  He had just returned from Moscow where he was awarded 'Hero of the Russian Federation'  The highest award given to comrades from overseas for DEEDS and ACTION that involved conspicuous bravery.

He is surrounded by his adoring followers from that period, outside the Communist Red CRESCENT Pub.  Peter Robinson, Boob, John Conneely Sr  Marc and John Conneely jr

Well what can one say about Michael Conroy! He was a very good worker for the Royal Mail;(when he was there) he worked hard and played hard! Could you rely on Michael! No!! Was he smart! Yes he was. Did he have the gift of the gab? Oh yes.
Would I want him as a son in law!!

Conroy....promised me a box of vegetables in 1985 ,I've been waiting ever since.....whe I had the misfortune of meeting him in town he'd shout across the stree that I'd left my underwear at his house..( I didn't!) and despite what else he liked to shout in the middle of the street he was not the father of my children.!!! Everybody should have a conroy in their lives and I'm so proud that I did xx
