Colin ArthurCOOKColin A. Cook, aged 72 of Wenvoe, Vale of Glamorgan, died on the 8th December. Husband to Mary, who loved him dearly and who will miss him forever. Colin died at home with some of his family, after suffering for many years with ill health. Colin was the only son of the late Elsie and Arthur Cook and his late sister Sheila. His niece Helen and her husband, Robert O'Callaghan and his great-niece Phoebe remained close in his heart. Colin has been a loving and supportive step-parent to all the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was very proud of their successes and supported them in their difficulties. Colin was an enthusiastic angler for many years, and had many friends and colleagues who shared the same interest. He was a very successful angler, culminating with a Gold medal for being in the angling freshwater team which won the World Championship in Bulgaria. The only time that Wales won the title. His sense of humour and genuine character was loved by everyone. The funeral service to celebrate Colin's life will take place at Cardiff and Glamorgan Crematorium on Thursday January 2nd at 11am. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made at the service to Cancer Research or sent to the funeral director. Colin requested that no black should be worn, this is a celebration of Colin's life which he lived to the full. Resting at Robert Johnson Funeral Directors, 29, Holton Road, Barry. 01446 733844.
